Intel last week decided to withdraw from the mobile 5G router chip business, there are reports that it is considering selling, the object may be Apple.

The Wall Street Journal quoted people familiar with the matter as saying that Intel is studying the various possibilities of the above business, including selling it to Apple or other buyers.

A few hours before Intel announced the termination of the mobile 5G router chip business last week, Apple and Qualcomm’s long lawsuit suddenly resolved, including an agreement, Qualcomm is expected to provide 5G router chips for the iPhone.

Apple and Qualcomm have been negotiating with Intel before reconciliation

However, the “Wall Street Journal” reported that Apple and Intel had already started negotiations in the summer of 2018 until the above-mentioned lawsuits were negotiated, and the negotiations stopped.

The report said that Intel has received a lot of interest and has entrusted Goldman Sachs to handle it.
