The China-US trade war continued. After the US stock market opened on August 7, the three major indexes fell sharply. As of about 10 pm in Hong Kong, the Dow fell more than 500 points.
As of 10:00 pm, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was at 25,518 points, down 511 points, or 1.96%.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index, at 2,835 points, fell 46 points, or 1.62%.
The Nasdaq index fell by 101 points, or 1.3%, at 7731 points.
The analysis believes that investors are worried about the global economic outlook and choose other investments such as gold and bonds, and hope to hedge.
