Catholic Pope Francis announced on September 1 that he will set up 13 new cardinals at the Consistory on October 5, 2019.
Francis said on the same day that these new cardinals came from countries such as Indonesia, Cuba, Guatemala, Morocco and Congo. “The places they came from represented the church. The mission of mission is to continue to proclaim God’s merciful love to all on earth.”
According to the report, among the 13 new cardinals, 10 are under 80 years old, and these 10 will be eligible to participate in the final secret meeting for the selection of the Pope’s successor.
