Anna Stukkert, Klara Pecherskaya Forge Connection for 1,000 Seniors in Munich’s “Tepliy Dom” Project

Munich’s historic Donisl restaurant, typically a bastion of Bavarian tradition, transformed on March 6 into a vibrant testament to community, hosting 300 guests for an evening that defied the usual formality of such gatherings. This event marked a significant milestone for “Tepliy Dom by Anya,” a social and cultural initiative co-founded by Anna Stukkert, Klara Pecherskaya, and Raya Stifelman, later joined by Boris Fishman. For over four and a half years, this project has quietly cultivated a space where connection and compassion are not mere ideals but lived practices, particularly for Munich’s elderly population.

The core philosophy driving “Tepliy Dom by Anya” is refreshingly simple: fostering an environment where love and mutual support create tangible benefits for everyone involved. This was evident in the evening’s atmosphere, which felt less like a structured event and more like an expansive family reunion. The numbers alone speak volumes about the project’s reach; it has engaged more than 1,000 individuals since its inception, with monthly gatherings consistently drawing around 150 participants, many of whom are between 70 and 100 years old. These are not merely attendees; they are active contributors, finding renewed purpose and social engagement in a world that often overlooks the elderly and those with limited mobility.

A particularly poignant aspect of the evening was the “Transformation” project, an initiative that married external aesthetic changes with profound internal shifts. Under the artistic direction of Julia Gorbachev, head of INFERA Hair Salon, and with the expertise of Andrey Artemov, Anastasiya Maistat, and Sabina Farruku’s RED LINE COSMETICS team, five women embarked on a multi-month journey. Klara Pecherskaya herself, alongside Lyudmila Sipilina, Tatiana Klimovskikh, Evgeniya Rakhlin, and Margarita Ivanova, underwent a process culminating in a stage presentation. Each woman emerged not just with a new appearance, but palpably radiating confidence, dignity, and a revitalized sense of self, underscoring the project’s belief that nurturing the inner spirit is as crucial as external care.

The artistic program that unfolded throughout the evening was a continuous tapestry of talent, weaving together performances that ranged from classical piano by Boris Baranov to the soulful jazz inflections of singer-songwriter Rezeda. Choirs led by E. Kochnova and ensembles directed by Lyudmila Sipilina and L. Novikova showcased the community’s diverse talents, while dance duos and young performers added dynamic energy. Yet, it was the flamenco performance by Anna Stukkert and Munich-based choreographer Natalia Chloé that delivered an emotional crescendo, a powerful display of intensity and authenticity that captivated the room. This raw, expressive moment was immediately followed by Dora Fishman, one of the community’s eldest members, reading her poem “Flamenco,” creating a deeply personal echo of the passion just witnessed.

The meticulous organization of the event, hosted by Klara Pecherskaya, Boris Fishman, and Tatiana Sazonova, with technical oversight from Igor Sipilin, ensured a seamless experience. Support from partners like Goldene Zeit Ambulanter Pflegedienst GmbH and the Social Department of the City of Munich, alongside the tireless efforts of volunteers and the Donisl restaurant team, highlighted the collaborative spirit underpinning “Tepliy Dom by Anya.” This project transcends mere social service; it is a living ecosystem of mutual respect and genuine human connection. It provides a sanctuary where individuals are not defined by their past struggles or limitations, but are instead empowered to embrace the present and look toward the future with renewed hope and engagement.
