Thousands of people in Switzerland protested against the dangers of 5G, and protested in the capital Bern in September 21, demanding that the country stop the construction of 5G networks. Someone initiated a joint venture on the Internet and hoped that the government would hold a referendum on the incident.

As of early July, there were 334 5G launch stations in operation in Switzerland. Demonstrators demonstrated in front of the parliament building and asked the country to stop building more launch stations.

Tamlin Schibler Ulmann, co-chair of Frequencia, the group that hosted the protests, said: “The fact that so many people are present today is against the uncontrolled introduction of a powerful symbol of 5G.”

Critics believe that the new 5G system, compared with previous generations of mobile phone technology, emits electromagnetic radiation that poses an unprecedented risk to the human health and the environment.

Dissenting people are collecting people’s signatures to get the 100,000 signatures needed to push the government to hold a referendum. They asked the state to suspend the construction of 5G until it can properly assess the risks posed by 5G.
