US President Trump, who is on a state visit to the United Kingdom, has talked with British Prime Minister Wen Cuishan. Trump confirmed that they have discussed disabling Huawei equipment, saying that the United States and Britain will reach an agreement on Huawei. The Prime Minister’s Health Minister, Matt Hancock, said that Huawei’s equipment could not be banned until a domestic alternative was found.
British Foreign Minister Jeremy Hunt said earlier that the United Kingdom is very concerned about the US use of Huawei equipment risk on 5G networks. Although the UK has not yet made a final decision, it has made it clear that it is considering technical issues, including how to ensure that there is no back door. Third countries cannot use 5G to monitor the UK and ensure that absolutely important technology is not dependent on third countries.
