Foreign exchange manipulation case, the EU fined 5 banks totaling 1.07 billion euros

The EU antitrust agency decided to impose a total of 1.07 billion euros on five banks, including Barclays Bank, Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase, Mitsubishi UFJ Bank and Royal Bank of Scotland.

The EU sued five banks and manipulated the market prices of 11 currencies.

UBS was not fined this time but was warned in two investigations by the European Commission.
