US President Trump wrote on Twitter, questioning why the World Bank still grants loans to China, arguing that China does not lack money and can print money at any time, asking the World Bank to stop lending.

Earlier, US Treasury Secretary Mnuchin said that Washington opposed the World Bank’s lending to China, but then the World Bank ignored the opposition of the United States and approved a new five-year loan plan for China, which is expected to provide China with 1 billion to 1.5 billion US dollars per year (Approximately HK $ 7.8 billion to HK $ 11.7 billion) of low-interest loans until June 2025.
