After almost three years without welcoming visitors, the world’s tallest Ferris wheel, Ain Dubai, resumed operations at the end of December. The attraction, which opened in October 2021, had been temporarily closed in March 2022 for maintenance.
Located on Bluewaters Island, an artificial island in Dubai that combines residential, commercial, and leisure areas, Ain Dubai stands at 250 meters tall—nearly double the height of London’s famous London Eye, which is 135 meters. From the top, the wheel offers a breathtaking 360-degree view, including sights of the Dubai Marina, Burj Al Arab, and the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.
The attraction features 48 air-conditioned cabins with central seating, providing comfort for visitors. With the capacity to hold 1,750 people at once, the wheel is supported by 192 steel cables, totaling 2,400 kilometers in length. A complete rotation takes about 38 minutes.
At the base of the Ferris wheel, Ain Dubai Plaza offers a vibrant entertainment hub, featuring daily performances from DJs, bands, and nightly light shows. There are also kiosks offering a variety of snacks, including crepes, chicken, ice cream, and local delicacies.
New Ticket Prices and Packages
Tickets for Ain Dubai start at 145 Dirhams for adults and 115 Dirhams for children in shared cabins. There’s also the “Ain Dubai View Plus” package, which includes snacks during the ride, starting at 195 Dirhams. The Premium package provides access to a lounge and priority entry, priced from 265 Dirhams.
For those seeking a more exclusive experience, the VIP package offers a private cabin for up to six people, along with lounge access, starting at 1,260 Dirhams. Reservations can be made directly through the attraction’s website.
Ain Dubai is open from Tuesday to Friday, between 12:00 PM and 9:00 PM, and on weekends from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
