Their performances will be accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, admired for its expressive artistry since its establishment in 1937. Together, they will create a gala evening defined by musical precision and festive refinement.
The cultural journey continues in January as Dubai Opera presents the city’s first staging of Handel’s Tamerlano on January 10 and 11, 2026. This production introduces audiences to a reimagined interpretation of Handel’s 1724 masterpiece. Renowned stage director Stefano Poda crafts a performance where visual artistry and musical storytelling merge seamlessly. The stage transforms into a living environment shaped by sculptural imagery and light choreography, presenting a contemporary reflection of the Baroque world. Composer Kirill Richter enhances the original score with the colors of traditional Uzbek instruments, adding a compelling cross-cultural dimension.
